Reba Nell McEntire, the American country singer and songwriter, has revealed that she is currently dating film and TV actor Rex Linn. The 65 years old actress, was previously married two times, and had a number of relationships too in her life. Her ex-husbands are Charles Battles, and Narvel Blackstock, and has kids including stepkids from her husbands’ previous marriages.
McEntire, who is also popular as actress and record producer is currently living in the United States of America, and is believed to be not in any serious relationships. She was born in Oklahoma as the daughter of a three time steer roper World Champion on 28th March 1955, and she has admitted in several instances that it is the profession of her father that made her to become who she is today, and also the musical interest of her mother has influenced her siblings and her upto a great extent.
The ‘Tremors’ star met Charlie Battles, the famous steer wrestling champion and rancher in the year 1975, which led to their marriage in 1976. Battles was 10 years older than his wife, but the couple lived a happy life despite the indifferences for about 11 years, along with two sons from Battles’ previous marriage. It was after 11 years of happy married life that they decided to choose separate paths, but not much information regarding the reason for such a decision is not known. Rumors says that there remained arguments between the couple as they had different opinions in most of the decisions of their life.
Later in 1989, she married Narvel Blackstock. He was the manager of McEntire at the time of the marriage, and is also a former steel guitar player. The couple, who got married at Lake Tahoe in a private ceremony, which included close friends and family only, led a happy and an ideal life for the newly wed couples. After the marriage, McEntire along with her manager took over all the aspects included in McEntire’s career, and developed an entertainment called Starstruck Entertainment, which primarily aimed at managing the career of McEntire. The couple welcomed their child Shelby Steven McEntire on February 1990, along with Blackstock’s children from his previous marriage – Shawna, Chassidy, and Brandon. Even though there were several factors which kept McEntire and Blackstock together, they decided to separate and made a joint statement on social media on 3rd August 2015, after twenty six years of marriage. The news was a shock to their fans. The couple also explained that they thought about getting divorced a year ago, and was living separately for about five months.
Their divorce got finalized on October of the same year, which was later announced by McEntire herself through her website. Both of the McEntire and Blackstock families keeps the warmth of their relationship even after the separation. McEntire once stated in an interview that she still is in touch with her stepchildren, and considers their kids as her own grandkids. However, she has found herself a new living, and is currently in a relationship with film and TV actor Rex Linn.
