Andrea Riseborough



Andrea Louise Riseborough is an English stage and film actress who was born on 20th November, 1981 at Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, England, UK. Her mother Isabel Johnson is a secretary and father George Risebotogh is a car dealer. She was grown up in Whitley Bay. At an early age, she appeared at the People's Theater, Newcastlein the play Riding England Sidesaddle by Christopher Goulding, as Celia Fiennes and was a member of the Young People's Theatre for five years. She is well known for her roles in movies Birdman (The Unexpected virtue of Ignorance),  Obilivion, Welcome to the Punch, Disconnect, Shadow Dancer, W.E., Brigton Rock, Made in Dagenham, Never let me go and Venus.

Andrea is non-religious. She has quoted "I subscribe to no religion. But I believe that in the creation of art, there can be moments of God". She is quite straight forward and keeps no secret so that there should not be any false rumors about her. He is an active and workaholic girl. She was a former contortionist. She is able to coil either leg up behind her head so that the calf is resting against the nape of her neck. She loves gymnastics. She loves watching movies in her spare time. She has quoted "I have lots of early film memories. I used to like watching black & white movies in the afternoon; I would sit kind of transfixed in front of the TV screen." She is a fun loving girl. She loves writing. She has quoted " If I weren't an actress I'd like to be an author. Either that or the proprietor of a pool hall in Texas where I'd show cabaret with homosexual undertones."

She was graduated from RADA in 2005.
She is a former member of the National Youth Theatre. Appeared as "Bone Girl" in an amateur production of "Dog Days", which won the 1999 Mike Figgis Award.
She is a member of the National Youth Theatre.
Her younger sister Laura Riseborough, also a pupil at Newcastle Church High School.
