David Tennant (birth name David John McDonald) is a celebrated Scottish actor. He was born on April 18, 1971. He grabbed his first acting role at an age of 16, when he acted in a Glasgow Health Board’s anti-smoking film. After completing his graduation from drama school, David continued to feature in several television series and stage productions, notably with Royal Shakespeare Company. His debut feature film was Jude (1996). Since his depiction of the Tenth doctor in famous BBC sci fi series Doctor Who, David became a household name. He is also known for his work in television series Broadchurch (2013- 15), Casanova (2005), Jessica Jones (2015) and 2005 movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, to name some. Apart from on screen acting, he has also worked as a voice-over artist. Tenant was honoured with a Critics Choice award for Best Shakespearean Performance for his portrayal of Hamlet for RSC.
