Shailene Diann Woodley, the American actress, film producer, and activist was born on 15th November 1991, at California, U.S. She is the daughter of Lori, a school counsellor, and Lonnie Woodley, a school principal. She used to do modelling since the age of four, and also attended acting classes at that time.
Woodley’s acting debut was through the television film Replacing Dad, in a minor role in the year 1999. After doing minor, and guest roles in several television series, she played the lead role in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008-2013), which received a lot of critical acclaim.
She made her film debut with The Descendants, the 2011 movies. Woodley rose to prominence for her starring role as a teenage cancer patient in The Fault in Our Stars (2014), and as Beatrice Prior in The Divergent series (2014-2016).

She was among the protesters at Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline, in which she got arrested along with several other protesters. She founded the All it Takes non-profit organization along with her mother in 2010, which is a youth leadership program that aims to educate young people the moral values of society. She identifies herself as a feminist too.

Woodley confirmed her relationship with the Australian-Fijian rugby union player Ben Volavola in the year 2018. She once stated in an interview that she does not consider what a human do or what sex they are to love them. She only considers who they are. But she seems to be hesitant to the idea of dating or relationship. Her reason for avoiding dating was given that “love is scary”.
She confirmed that the relationship between her and Volavola has ended in April 2020.
