Jennifer Carpenter is an American actress. She was born on 7th December, 1979 in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. She is the daughter of Robert Carpenter and Catherine Mitchell Carpenter. She is recognised for playing the role of Debra Morgan in the Showtime series Dexter and for playing the role of Rebecca Harris in the CBS television series Limitless. She started playing the lead role of Erica Shepherd in the NBC drama The Enemy Within in 2019. Moreover, she starred in many other TV shows and movies such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Brawl in Cell Block 99, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and Dragged Across Concrete, to mention only a few of them.
