Carey Mulligan is an English actress. She was born on 28th May, 1985 in Westminster, London, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of Stephen Mulligan, a hotel manager, and Nano Booth, who is a university lecturer. She made her acting debut on stage in the year 2004 in the Kevin Elyot play Forty Winks at the Royal Court Theatre. She made her debut in films with a supporting character in Pride and Prejudice. She also played television roles such as in Bleak House. Her Broadway debut was in The Seagull in the year 2008, for which she was given an Ian Charleson Commendation Award. She starred in many other television shows and movies such as Doctor Who, Collateral, Never Let Me Go, Far from the Madding Crowd, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, to name only a few of them.
