Amy Beth Schumer, the American stand-up comedian and actress was born on 1st June 1981, at Manhattan, New York City. She is the daughter of Sandra Jane, and Gordon David Schumer, owner of a baby-furniture company.
She was a participant in the finals of the fifth season of the NBC reality television talent show Last Comic Standing in 2007 and placed fourth. Later, she co-stared in several television programs including those in the Comedy Central and Fox News. She has been the creator, co-producer, co-writer, and star of the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer since 2013.
She made her film debut as a writer and actor through Trainwreck (2015). She released her stand-up comedy album Cutting in the year 2011. Her memoir named The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, was released in 2016, which remained in The New York Times Non-Fiction Best Seller list for two weeks.
Schumer has received nominations for the Writers Guild of America, Golden Globe, Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, and so on.

Schumer was raised Jewish. She once revealed that she faced anti-Semitism during her childhood. Her ancestry includes English, other than Jewish.
