REBA McENTIRE DIVORCE
She was discovered shouting out the National anthem at a Rodeo in Oklahoma when she was just 19 years old, Now Reba McEntire is the reigning queen of the country music. Throughout her life, Reba has been married twice. Her first husband was Charlie Battles who was a steer-wrestling champion she met in the very beginning years of her career. At first Charlie was Married with children and she had no romantic attraction towards him but later Charlie got divorced and their relationship was kindled. Later in 1976, McEntire who was 21 got married to Battles who was 31 at that time. In a recent interview about her marriage to Battles she said, "I loved Charlie with all my heart, I wanted to marry him ... We had a lot of fun.” ”We rodeoed together, we ranched together." In the beginning years of their marriage, although they were happy together, Reba and Charlie were very poor. The first ever house they lived in was a shack that they rented for $10.00 a month. Later, as Reba became more successful, their financial condition got stable, and they eventually moved into a nice house. Reba's financial and professional life was thriving with the years, but her marriage was starting to die. Her growing success got proportional with the problems they had. The only times they spoke, if they were speaking at all, was to argue. After a great deal of contemplation, Reba filed for divorce in 1987. "I guess I chose my career over my marriage," she explained.
The divorce procedure was long and emotionally draining. As time went by, Reba found herself drawing closer to Narvel Blackstock for support. Narvel had been in Reba's band since 1980 as a steel guitarist and later her tour manager. At that time he was going through a divorce around the same time as Reba, so they cried and supported each other in this process. Eventually they fell in love, and were married on June 3, 1989. Upon getting hitched, the singer instantly gained three stepchildren (Chassidy, Shawna, and Brandon) from his previous relationship. After one year, Reba and Narvel had a baby boy named Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock who was born on February 23, 1990. Reba says that being a mother is the greatest gift God has given her, and she cherishes motherhood. After 26 years of being Married, the pair shocked the country music community and fans when they announced their separation on August 3, 2015. In an interview McEntire said “The divorce was not my idea,”. The couple’s divorce was finalised a couple of months later on October 28, 2015. Despite the divorce, McEntire remains very close to her three stepchildren as well as the Blackstock family.

Reba Nell McEntire (born March 28, 1955) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. When she was singing the national anthem she got discovered by artist Red stall who bought her to Nashville, Tennessee and help her sign her first contract with a recording label. She signed a record label with mercury records after 1 year of getting discovered and released her first solo album in 1977.
Her acting debut was with 1990s ‘Tremors’. She has since starred in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun and in her television sitcom, Reba.
