The Multitalented and extremely loved John Travolta has been in the in industry for a long time now. Throughout this long career he has faced his share of ups and downs. Be it consistent blockbuster movie releases or multiple sexual harassment allegations by many guys and girls.
He is married to Kelly Preston since 1991. The couple had their first encounter in 1987 on the sets of the movie The Experts. They eventually fell for each other and started dating. Travolta and Preston tied the knot on 5 September 1991 at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris. As the wedding was done as per French Scientology minister it was considered invalid, so they again got married in Daytona Beach, Florida after seven days on September 12. The pair welcomed their first child, son, Jett Travolta on April 13, 1992. Their second child daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta was born on January 2, 2009, and son, Benjamin Travolta was born in 2010.
As far as as their Marriage was concerned the couples faced the biggest obstacles. The most shocking news was the death of their first born Jett who was 16 when he passed away in 2009 due to seizures. At the time, they were on a family vacation in the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Reportedly, Jett was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease since the age of two and autism and also suffered regular seizures.
The Couple somehow survived the shock, but this was just a starting of a whirlwind of controversies. There was a leaked police report in which John was accused of sexual battery against a male masseur in 2000. The unidentified man – who claims John groped his bare buttocks – was 21 at the time. In 2012 two other unnamed male masseurs filed similar sexual battery claims. All the charges were dropped but the damage was done, which was the complete destruction of John’s reputation. To make matters worse, John has been subject to multiple rumours linking him romantically to several men, including the couple’s male nanny Jeff Kathrein, whom the actor was snapped kissing in 2006, and former pilot Douglas Gotterbra.
“Kelly’s sick of being the loyal wife – every time she feels like they’ve gotten through a rough patch, something else comes up,” a source close to the couple explained hinting at a possible divorce.
