Anthony Bourdain’s Divorces
It’s been more than a couple of months since we lost the very talented Anthony Bourdain.
Different people had different reactions to the shocking news and everyone Mourned in their own ways. Anthony lived a very successful life and was considered one of the most influential chefs in the world.
He married his high school sweetheart Nancy Putkoski in 1985 after several years of dating. In high school Putkoski who was older than Anthony had a reputation of a ‘Bad Girl’ and she was among the ‘Druggie crowd’. Bourdain was smitten by her, so smitten that he Graduated from high school a year early only to follow her to Vassar college in New York.
Later as He succeeded in his career His Travels took a toll on their marriage. According to a interview he did for a newspaper his trip to Vietnam was in particular the one which changed the perception of life and he and Putkoski broke up shortly after his return in 2005, breaking up 20 years of Marriage.
Anthony’s Second Marriage was with Ottavia Busia in 2007 after just weeks of dating. The couple even got matching tattoos of Chef’s knives as their mutual love for each other and the culinary business.
Within the first year of their Marriage they had a Daughter, Ariane.
Their Marriage lasted for 9 years until distance yet again took a toll and they called it quits in 2016.

Anthony Bourdain was celebrity chef, A fictional and historical nonfictional author, A travel enthusiast and documentarian, and a very famous television personality.
He first Caught attention through his best selling book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly in 2000. After this his Success grew immensely over the years.
On June 8, 2018 Bourdain committed suicide by hanging in his Hotel room in France where he was working on an episode of the program ‘Parts unknown’.
He dealt with suicidal thoughts after his divorce from his first wife Nancy Putkoski.“To cope, I went to the Caribbean where I behaved in a completely irresponsible and suicidal way. I didn’t value my own life and acted accordingly. I had put myself in a very dark place and behaved recklessly in the not-too-subconscious hope that something terrible would happen. I was doing everything possible — smoking pot, drink-driving — to invite that.” He said.
He showcased a special bond with Nancy when referred to he said “She was my partner in crime, my wife, and before that my girlfriend.”in an interview.
His divorce with Ottavia was also due to the distance and went smoothly. The ex-couple showed a lot of respect and love for each other in the interviews post separation.
