Ron Howard is an American actor and director. He shot to fame when he played the character of Opie Taylor in the sitcom The Andre Griffith Show. Ron has also worked in other movies such as The Chamber, Ransom, The Independent, The Missing, Cinderella Man, Da Vinci Code, Angels&Demons, Cowboys&Aliens, Inferno, Dark Tower etc. He is presently directing the movie Untitled Han Solo Film. Howard has also been part of many television series such as Dennis the Menace, The Many Love of Dobbie Gillis, The Smith Family, Arrested Development and more. Ron has won Academy award and the Golden Globe for the Beautiful Mind which he directed. In 2008, he got nominated again for Frost/Nixon, but lost to Slumdog Millionaire. He has also earned nominations at the British Academy Awards.
