Jenna Coleman



Jenna Louise Coleman is an English actress who was born on 27th April, 1986 at Blackpool, England, UK. She is the daughter of Karen and Keith Coleman. She has stated that she regrets not having a conventional university experience. While at school, Coleman was a member of the theater company In Yer Space, with which she performed in the play Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival. She received critical acclaim for her performance and was nominated for the Most Popular Newcomer award at the 2006 National Television Award. She has got critical appreciation for role in Waterloo Road, mini series Titanic and Dancing on the Edge.

She has not supported any of the political party yet.

She is in relationship with actor Richard Madden. since 2011. Jenna and Richard were a sci-fi power couple when they began dating around 2011, with Jenna in Doctor Who and Richard having a starring role in Game of Thrones. The pair were also said to really enjoy watching each other’s programmed, with Richard reportedly visiting his girlfriend plenty of times while she was filming Doctor Who in Cardiff. However, the pair is reported to have now sadly gone their separate ways.

Jenna has often been quoted declaring her love for avocados in various interviews and she was even holding one in M&S when she received the life changing call from her agent to reveal that she'd been chosen as the Doctor's new companion.

While auditioning for Doctor Who, the code name that was used was Men on Waves, an anagram for Woman Seven.
She was voted Best Female Guest Star for Season 7A for Asylum of The Daleks by readers of Doctor Who Magazine.
In an interview to Gerard Gilbert of The Independent (UK newspaper), said of the name change from Jenna-Louise to Jenna, "The boring truth is that people have never really called me Jenna-Louise and I just found it very strange because I started to do more interviews and go places where people I didn't know kept calling me Jenna-Louise. It sounded odd to me.".
