Eric Bana




Eric is an Australian actor and comedian who debuted his professional career from the sketch comedy series Full Frontal. However, he got fame from the biographical crime thriller Chopper in the year 2000. Some of his commendable performances that brought him to limelight are in Black Hawk Down, Hulk, Troy, Munich, The Other Boleyn Girl, Star Trek, The Time Traveler's Wife. Lone Survivor and more. His characters have wide-ranging dimensions such as that of a comedian, war hero, villain etc. Eric made his television debut at the Late Night Show of Steven Vizard, Tonight Live. Bana has even self-produced and directed a documentary-like film Love the Beast. Eric has won several awards like Logie Award for Most Popular Comedy Personality and Australian Film Insititute Award. His movie Munich was a huge critical success and nominated for five Academy Awards. Some of the television shows he has been a cast of are, Full Frontal, All Saints and Something in the Air.

As he was born in Melbourne, Victoria. His father was a Croatian and a manager in Caterpillar Inc. and his mother was a hairdresser of German descent.

Eric Bana Political Views

Bana's political associations are not explicit. However, he has acted in some political movies especially Munich, where he played an Israeli Mossad agent designated to kill the terrorists responsible for the Black September incident. He is the ambassador for Father Chris Riley's charity which is for homeless people. He is also an advocate for the Mental Illness Fellowship in Australia. He is also active in campaigns like Australian Childhood Foundation and the Bone Marrow Donor Institute. 

Who is he/she dating?

Eric is married to Rebecca Gleeson who is daughter of the Chief Justice of Australia, Murray Gleeson. He lives in his family of two children in Melbourne.

Eric Bana Hobbies

Eric is a excellent motor racist, who is often seen participating in motor racing competitions in Australia. He even purchased a Porsche 944 to compete in Australian Porsche Challenge. His favourite game being football, he is seen in AFL games.

He was chosen by Empire Magazine as one of the 100 sexiest movie stars.

Eric has appeared twice on GQ magazine cover.

He was joined to Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Eric wanted to drop out from school to become a car mechanic but was persuaded against doing so by his father. 

He is an ardent supporter of St Kilda FC.
