Bobby Cannavale



Bobby Cannavale (born Roberto M. Cannavale) is an American actor. He was born on May 3, 1960 in the Union City, New Jersey. He is best known for his depiction of the character of Bobby Caffey in the popular crime drama series Third Watch. He has won many awards and honours including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for her recurring role in NBC’s series Will & Grace (2004- 06). His other notable works include those in movies like The Station Agent (2003), Shall We Dance (2004), Win Win (2011), and Blue Jasmine (2013), and in television series like Modern family (2012), Boardwalk Empire (2012) and Nurse Jackie (2012- 13).

Not much is known about Bobby’s religious beliefs as he has never spoken publically on the topic. As regards his ancestry, he is of Italian- Cuban descent as his father is Italian, while his mother is Cuban. He was born and raised in a Catholic family.

Bobby married actress Jenny Lumet, daughter of Sidney Lumet- the director, in 1994. However, the couple parted ways in 2003. After divorcing Jenny, he was reported to have affair with Annabella Sciorra, Alison Pill and Sutton Foster. Currently he is dating Rose Byrne since 2012. He has two children- his first son is actor Jake Cannavale from his former wife Jenny and his second son Rocco Robin Cannavale with girlfriend Rose.
